Since its foundation back in 1927, Bracco has always promoted an innovation culture throughout all the Group and leveraged on it as one of key factors of its success.
The effectiveness of the innovation programs in Bracco arises from the active participation and engagement of all the company functions and finds in the R&D of the Global Business Unit Imaging (GBUI) the good mix of knowhow and creativity to start transforming ideas into diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.
Researchers of the GBUI R&D operate in the two major research centers of the Group, based in Colleretto Giacosa (Italy) and in Plan-les-Quates (Switzerland); smaller R&D units are also located at the Bracco Imaging Headquarter in Milan and in Basovizza (Italy).
For Bracco, research is strategic on one side for protecting and continuously developing its business and on the other to promote scientific progress and knowledge dissemination.
The two objectives are pursued by our researcher in their daily work, as testified by the consistent track record in terms of IP generation and of scientific publications and talks.
Bracco Imaging fully recognizes the value and the potential of research originating from academia and startup companies and the importance of efficiently networking with them.
With this in mind, several research collaborations are ongoing with prestigious university departments, hospital-based research centers and biotech companies in various parts of the world.
The continuous exchange of scientific experience and methods has considerably enriched our research programs and contribute to position Bracco as one of the leading players in the international health-care community.
